Fire Point, a Ukrainian defence technology company, says it expects its first ballistic missile—the FP-7 tactical short-range system—to complete certification and be ready for contracting by autumn, contingent on completing a defined set of “battle-testing” launches. The CEO/CTO Iryna Terekh describes FP-7 as a 200 km-range missile carrying a 150 kg warhead, intended for ground strike but also being reworked for use in air-defence roles. In parallel, Fire Point is developing the FP-9, characterised in the reporting as a longer-range ballistic missile with an 800 kg warhead and up to 855 km range.
